The story
It’s Show and Tell week in Ms Harper’s class, and LJ picks his favorite thing in the whole world: the picture Bible Grandma gave him. But when Marcus shows his remote-control car and Mateo shows a real dinosaur fossil, LJ worries the class will think his Bible is boring, so he keeps it hidden in his backpack. Mom tells him not to hide his light, and Dad tells how he once kept his grandpa’s carved wooden cross hidden in his pocket all day. Big sister Jakayla helps LJ practice his favorite story. On Friday, LJ tells the class how Jesus calmed the storm, and everyone leans in. Grandma tells the story of the woman at the well, who ran to tell her whole town about Jesus.
