Doctor Day: A Bible Story for Kids About Being Brave at the Doctor

The story
LJ is at Dr. Bell’s office for his check-up when he spots a tiny needle, and he hides behind Mom’s chair. That night Mom prays with him and reminds him that God is with him everywhere, even at the doctor. Dad tells LJ how he once ran right out of the doctor’s office when he was little, and how he came back brave with his own dad beside him. Big sister Nykira explains that shots help the body learn to fight germs. On Friday LJ goes back. He holds Mom’s hand, says his verse, and counts to three. Then Grandma tells the story of Daniel, who trusted God even in the lions’ den.
